and television campaigns including: Tommy Hilfiger, Alfani, The Gap, Old Navy, Lee Jeans & Target. She has also been featured in magazines around the world, including German Vogue, Glamour, British Marie Claire, Cosmopolitan, Tomiko is embarking upon an acting career. After making her feature film debut opposite Freddie Prinze, Jr. and Monica Potter in the romantic comedy Head Over Heels, she went on to take part in the New Line Cinema film, Monster-in-Law, starring Jennifer Lopez and Jane Fonda. In addition to the big screen, Tomiko’s television credits include guest starring roles on the Showtime series Soul Food, CSI and on the CW Network hit show The Game. In addition to her work with Maybelline, Tomiko is involved in many causes close to her heart. Her most personal endeavor is her work as a national spokesperson and board member for the Lupus Foundation of America (LFA). Tomiko’s sister, Shneequa has a severe case of lupus that has affected her brain. Tomiko has been her sister’s caretaker for several years. Tomiko actively speaks out on behalf of the LFA and has traveled to Capitol Hill to testify on behalf of legislation that would provide more research and funding for those in need. Due in part to her efforts, that bill was passed. Tomiko is also the founder/facilitator of “Tomiko Fraser’s Goddess Gathering”—a female empowerment and support group. Currently in its 4th year, the Goddess Gathering meets on a monthly basis. “The Goddess Gathering” hosted its first outreach program, an empowerment workshop, in 2008 with the generous support of Maybelline. The workshop—conceived by Tomiko—helped to empower women and young girls from two Los Angeles area social service organizations to tap into their natural talents and build self-esteem. Tomiko is currently honing her skills as an on-air host and correspondent. Stay tuned for updates on her work in that area. Tomiko currently resides in Los Angeles with her husband. |
